Well, we all have our ups n downs in our christian walk.

Is never easy to keep our spiritual life in the tip top conditions at all time.

Most importantly, we are aware of our spiritual status and able to work on it.

So Mr Chin, we will support u in prayer and never lose heart.

As for all of us, continue to stick with God and never lose heart n faith in Him.Can i hear AMEN from all of U???

Good news to all, maybe is timely for most of us to have a spiritual cleaning up in our upcoming youth camp.

To those who can make it for the camp, continue/start praying for yourself (be prepared to receive from God thru this camp) n the camp committee (that God wisdom in planning of what He wans to happen in the camp)

To those who cannot join us...no excuse for u too...u got to pray oso...lol

Do continue to blog about anything in life...

In His Kingdom,
gAiL

Hope all of you had fun just now in church! Without Me! Argh..

Well I already had my first paper last Saturday. Upcoming will be papers on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and the Tuesday after next.

Honestly, this examination is perhaps the hardest for me in a long long while. While I could probably say that Army had sucked my brain juices dry, I'm pretty sure there are guys out there who still do well after they come out of Army, so tat's not really a good excuse.

And today's sermon was ironically, about priorities and commitment to God. Somehow I felt that I've let God down in certain aspects of my life, yet it seems hard to break out of this vicious cycle at times.

So, pray for me! Not just for my results, but more importantly my Walk with God. Although I would be extremely ecstatic if God gave me 5As, I think I'll be much happier to settle for 5Bs and a stronger relationship with God.

Right, off to study for my maths paper which is in 15hours time.

Joel :)

3 down 2 to go!! I’ve been having exams for the past 3 consecutive days... I think exams are the biggest joke in a student’s life. I hate exams, especially the night before anxiety. The night b4 my first paper, I had a nightmare.(no where as scary as joy’s) It was quite silly actually.. I dreamt that I was late for my paper. And the reason I was late was coz I couldn’t find my damn shoes!!! Sound so stupid..ya, dreams are weird. And after that I cant get a bloody cab!! -_- The whole dream was soo real..i really thought I was late when I woke up! Scare the hell out of me.. anyway, the papers hasn’t been great so far. I couldn’t finish today’s paper..most pple din la, but I still feel disappointed coz I studied quite hard for it. Urgh. So just praying for god’s grace. >.<

anyway, I manage to visit a restaurant that I’ve been wanting to go. I dun think u all know that I’m actually qt a FOodiE! Haha. Yup..i go ard Singapore looking for good eat outs and I try out places where pple say is nice. I’m actually quite a picky eater…it’s good food or nothing. Whahaha. :X oh ya, the restaurant I went is called Miss Clarity Café, located at Purvis street. Just opposite national library, beside maybank. The food is awesome, looks great, taste delicious as well! J When I say looks great, I really mean it looks great..haha. like those gourmet high class restaurant where they always position the slices of meat in the center and drizzle sauce around it kind. Yar..dun worry, it’s quite filling coz the slice of meat is quite big and it’s served with potatoes strategically placed under the meat. I ordered garlic crusted dory fish..and guess what it’s a mere $8!! It’s definitely higher quality than swensens.. they have free flow of water..cosy ambience and friendly staff who attends to you promptly. And the best part is there is NO service charge!! How cool is that..?! it’s one of the most value for money meals I ever had.. so highly recommended! Especially when u feel like having a chic meal but dun have a lot of cash...perfect for dates as well coz of the ambience.. oh ya, and they have FREE broadband in the shop too!!! Plus they serve wonderful desserts ..in fact they shot to fame coz of their desserts. The only –ve point abt it was the waiting time was quite long (so go only when u have time to spare)..but it was all worth it in the end! J
ok so I just did an advertisement for them..perhaps they should give me some reward for that. Haha. Hopefully we can get to go to the shop in shunfu mart that sells nice muffins, I think it’s called chocolate and spice or sth like that. Hehe. Really thank god for the food! Good food! J

hope you guys had a great week doing masterlife.. cya all on Sunday!
cheErs for the weekend!!!

I am ready now to blog about my promos. Geee.. it took really long eh. About a month. or 2 weeks. Thanks ya all out that who've been reminding me about this, really appreciate it. The main purpose of this entry is to give glory to God for whatever he has done, which in this point of time i can defintely say, was one of the hardest times in my life. Are you ready? ARE YOU READY? you're supposed to say EVER READY! okae let's try it again..

Alright.. i'm kidding.

JC life, must i stress this again, is a very good mixture of very good fun and very good stress. You can have fun until you forget you name ( i am totally serious), and you can stress until you lose all rationailty. Ever since mid years (which i did very very VERY badly.. UUUSC), God has been ever so gracious to either let me JUST pass certain subjects or excel. It was truly by God's grace.

But still i had difficulty coping with the much faster pace and inevitable work from PW, House and what not.. tho i can say i never regretted it.

Then our church had an inaugural service, to celebrate and give thanks for the new place God has given us. Upon knowing that they wanted to give me a task to choreograph a dance (and get the dancers), i knew it was something God had prepare for me to do.

Recalling early march this year when i went for the dance auditions (just to find out what in the world they do at dance auditions), i felt absolutely hopeless. Having zero dance background, unless u want to consider the musicals and dances i've choreo-ed and hooked up with then it's about 10 percent, it was kinda obvious i could understand what in the world pirouette or shanez (did i spell that correctly?) is. Then i told God, there and then when the technique instructor made us do a RIDICULOUS turn, that if i ever got through to dance there's got to be a reason, better be a good one, if not just let me out of this place, it's crazy.

By now many of you should know that, yearp, i'm in dance. THough it is still tormenting to try and do the splits (URGH) and flat back and kicks (u really dont want to continually do taht for 1 hr 30 min), I know God put me in there for a reason.. or many reasons.

And so, when i knew there was something for me to do in God's house, i took it up, despite knowing that it clashed terribly with my promos. How do i emphasize terribly... erm. Say the day before the first paper of promos.

During the preparation for the performance, i fell into a seceral hardspots. First was getting the dancers, then the choreography and then many many other stuff. I wont deny that i was disheartened, and i questioned God if this was the right thing to do, whether i should have even taken the job. But thanks to the many friends God has put around me, time and time again he encouraged and assured me.

One such passage God gave to me through a brother was 2 Cor 9 (vs 6-15). I still remember that evening when i was struggling with differentiation, and thourghly distressed that i couldnt do 5 sums in a row, i just broke down. The item was roughly done in sketches and i just wanted to give up on everything. But throught that passage, God reminded me several things..

1. "Remeber this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously."

2. "Each man should give what he ahs decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or udner compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver"

3."And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things and at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work"

4. "You will be made rich in every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God"

I kept it as a promise from God. It seemed impossible, with the very little I know i will even get a chance to promote to J2, given that my school is known for having the highest retention rate.. we havent mentioned the kick outs..

I barely knew how to work ionic equillibrium.. why do you have to add.. what you call that again?
What ksp .. huh? solubility product?
How do you find the matrix on the gc again?

i cant even work my gc. It is so irritating you know it's like... okae.. back to this

Impossibilities are always chances for God's miracles. He can make all this possible. During pre promos, promos and post promos, i kept prayer for my three friends who i hold close to.. (not saying that any of you out there are not okae...u all are, just that God place three of them in my heart to pray for). Everyday, without fail, i'd pray for them, not to meet miss lai, not to get retained or kicked out of MJC. Life in J2 wouldnt be as great without having them around. I prayed for myself, about the same thing, but i knew the ultimate decision lies in God's hands. If there was something he needed for me to do or something he wanted me to go through in J2, then he'll promote me, or else it means he has something greater out there for me.

if you refer to one of my older posts, whatever i'm saying next in the paragraph is just a short summary. my life as a chrisitian is a living sacrifice to God. He can do whatever He wants with it. I trust fully in my God that wherever He leads I will follow, no matter how hard it is, because God never put us in bad situation without redemption. The final conclusion to promos is that. I got promoted. barely. How bare?

Econs -44.7 round up to 45 (E)
Math - 46 (E) (i never understood why the subject i studied least for always scores the highest)
Chemistry -36 (S) (this is because, the dropped the subpass grade.. it's 35, supposed to be 40)
Geography -- 45 (E)
GP -67 or 68 (B) (Joel i am STILL gona get you for this! it is so unfair at times..)

45 is the minimum grade for E.

MJ's promotional criteria is...
H1 content based minimum S
H2 content based minimum E and one S
GP E and above

So basically i hit the MINIMUM promotional criteria. Like u know how freakishly close that is? Thank God they add in the CA scores only to pull ur grades up not down. I still can't believe it.

Nice ending is that none of the friends i prayed for met Ms lai nor got retained nor kicked out.
And i guess there's really something in stored for me in J2.. and i am just EXCITED. WOOHOO!!

So i promised God that i will give glory to him.. through this blog (so many of you can read it and i dont have to repeat so many times). SOrry for keeping some of you waiting and all.. but it's out already! Fresh from the oven.

okae it's just creepy cos i just saw a big BLUE bee buzzing outside my window. My window's lock.. but dont you think a blue bee's like very....

Sorry...

"This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. And in their prayers for your their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!" 2 Cor 9:12-15

That's the last part God reminded me, to also remind ya all out there. Dont hold back giving thanks to God and proclaiming of His good works. That's something we're here for too.

For what i've been up to lately.. check the next entry oake? Cos MUAHAHA... cant say.. wont say.. tho some of you out there know so much already.. AINING DON'T SAY!

Love ya all my great friends.. wont have to list you all out cos i think u know who u are.

I need to post to restore my 'reputation'... hahaha. Thank u for highlighting my urmm... =p I need to emphasize that I was under great stress with Miss +Lyn hovering around, and that made writing in 'little hearty cute small booky' an unforgettably hard experience haha. Anyway, glad you now have in your hands something to always remember us by if you'll be staying in an ulu part of China! =) We look forward to your 'From China with Love' messages if you can get internet access heh.

Here are 3 pics taken today:

From top to bottom: Breakfast Cafe, English Service, Cai Qing's carrot cakes HEE

I hope all of you benefitted from the session with Pastor today. I certainly did, and I believe that I have a much better understanding of the events in Revelation now. You're encouraged to read the books of Revelation, Daniel and Thessalonians if you haven't already done so. If and when the rapture does happen, I hope that all of us will be taken up so let's always 'be prepared' =)

Greetings!

Quite happy to have a blog to express some thoughts and/or vent some frustrations!
More importantly can help encourage one another too!

Joshua! All the best for your exams! I'll be praying for you! Army isn't tat bad! I'm sure you'll 'enjoy' it.
Marilyn! While some times I do feel tired serving, it gives me great joy to know that through my 'guitar'ing, I can serve God and be a blessing to many people in Church! Whatever God has planned for you ahead, be joyful always!

Matthew 6:33-34
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

As for me!
My Exam Schedule isn't as intensive as Joshua's, but here it is nonetheless.

today i've made probably one of the most important decisions in my life, physical and spiritual life. yes. i came to church today with a terribly heavy heart. as u people might have realised i served in 2 ministries : kids and service. and i'm not ashamed to say... its really really tiring. in fact this matter has bothered me for quite a while already.

in fact i'm troubled by it more than many many things. cause i think it would hinder my improvement in my spiritual life. so i know. i HAD to drop one off. as for what i did. you will know one day. HAHA. oops. but really wanna thank God for speaking to me today especially during the sermon about "making decisions".

all my decisions are done today. i sincerely thank the big guy up there for guiding me. and giving me the courage to make the decisions.
